Daoyin Scotland
Made with Xara
Daoyin
and
massage
have
a
long
combined
history
as
therapeutic
massage
is
considered one of the yangsheng practices.
During
the
Sui
dynasty
(581-618)
Emperor
Yangdi
employed
numerous
daoyin
practitioners—who
were
also
massage
teachers—at
the
imperial
court,
with
the
objective of establishing daoyin as a major component of state medicine.
And
during
the
following
Tang
dynasty
(618-907),
daoyin
continued
to
be
an
official
part
of
the
Imperial
Court
Medicine
and
was
generally
in
the
hands
of
the
massage
specialist.
Daoyin Scotland has continued to uphold this tradition.
Although
musculoskeletal
problems
can
be
dealt
with,
all
treatments
begin
with
fuzang
anmo,
internal
organ
massage,
to
relieve
internal
stresses
and
strains.
These
internal
issues can also result from musculoskeletal problems.
Currently,
treatments
are
limited
to
just
one
Sunday
a
month
in
Stonehaven
and
in
Inverness every Tuesday.
